CASE STUDY · WHOLESALER · CHAIN CO₂ CERTIFICATION
⚠️

Heads up — a demo made with care! We've put together this order with all its real documentation —invoice, chain certificates and customer dashboard— so you can see every detail of the purchase and certification process. The names and data are fictitious; the processes, calculations and documents are exactly what you'd receive.

Case study · Wholesaler

An importer,
60 cases, 15 customers

Solera Import S.L. buys 60 cases of RUUUTS, shares them among 15 customers and certifies each one's footprint in a chain. The same model works for distributors, importers and also restaurant groups and hotel groups. It's all real: at the end you enter their demo dashboard and try it yourself.

The purchase

Solera buys 60 cases (360 bottles) at distribution pricing. Each case adds 100 net kg of CO₂ to their credit portfolio, plus 1 tree. With this order they earn 6,000 kg of credit to certify whomever they want.

The cascading distribution

The wine doesn't end at Solera: it keeps travelling to their customers. The dashboard calculates the footprint cascading —from RUUUTS to Solera, and from Solera to their farthest customer— so it reaches the end customer with its whole footprint measured and offset.

Certifies each customer

From Issue certificate, Solera issues a certificate in each customer's name for their share (400 kg). Each credit is spent only once and can never certify above their balance. After certifying all 15, the balance reaches zero.

What certificates are generated

There are created 15 chain certificates, one per customer: retired-credit certificates (400 kg) issued via Solera Import. This is how one of them looks:

  • Each customer receives their certificate in their name (public or private).
  • And their kit: impact page, seal + QR and report, personalized with their name.
  • The end customer verifies the certificate by its number on the website.
  • With no footprint of their own attached: the chain already absorbed the footprint.

And here you get the day-to-day off your plate

As soon as you certify a customer, you can give them access to their own area with an invitation link. From there the customer logs in whenever they want and downloads themselves their certificates, their seal + QR and their impact page — without calling you again. They only see their own; never your dashboard or other customers'.

The same model, for groups

Not just distributors and importers. A restaurant group or a hotel group works exactly the same, in a chain: buys by volume and certifies each of its venues their footprint —with their certificate, their kit and individual access to their own dashboard—, without the customer seeing the group's or the others'.

🍽️
Restaurant Groups

They certify in a chain the restaurants of their group. Each restaurant receives its certificate, its seal + QR and its own access.

🏨
Hotel Groups

They certify in a chain the hotels of their group. Same flow: certificate, kit and own dashboard for each hotel.
